Only crimes in Chicago?

It is almost known to everybody in the world that Chicago is a famous criminal city in US. Before I came here for studying, I have heard a lot of the information, thus, a little scared me for that.

Two years ago, I stamped on Chicago's land, and studyed in Chicago Kent law school. I lived in north of Chicago, it is good neighborhood in the city. During my studying, my teacher reminded that I should notice personal safety, had better not go outside in evening. My friends and my classmates usually told that somewhere happened robbery, burgulary, even murder. This made me fear, because I had to go to law school for attending my classes early morming and came back to my apartment late evening every day. I took 151or 156 bus for communie every day.

when I took a bus at late night, I was always worrying about safety. However, thanks God, I am safe until now, even though I still often hear crimes in somewhere of the city, just as I could usually hear criminal information in Beijing, but I am sitll safe in there.

Therefore, does not like people said that Chicago is a criminal city in the world, crimes could happen in any place in the world, if only there are people, just maybe make crimes, that is that it is not for Chicago or some place, but for human being.
